THE FOUNDER

Dr.SarahCalloway

Founder and Lead Rehabilitation Therapist

"Movement is not a reward for recovery. It is the means by which recovery happens."

Sarah Calloway spent twelve years working in veterinary emergency medicine and orthopedic surgical recovery before founding AquaPaws Rehab. She watched dogs leave post-surgical consultations with no clear roadmap for return to movement, and she knew the gap needed closing.

Her formal training in canine rehabilitation science introduced her to the precise, water-based protocols that now define every program at the center. The buoyancy of water reduces joint loading by up to 60%, allowing patients to rebuild strength before their bodies can tolerate land-based exercise. That principle became the foundation of everything AquaPaws does.

She opened the Austin facility with one core belief: that pain-free movement is not a luxury, it is a clinical outcome. Every dog that comes through the door deserves the same structured, evidence-based care that a human athlete receives after a major surgical procedure.

FOUNDED 2017 · AUSTIN, TEXAS

Conventional medicine asks: What is wrong with this dog?

Weask:Whatisthisdogcapableof?

AquaPaws Rehab was built on the conviction that every dog, regardless of age, breed, or condition, has a right to pain-free movement. Our clinical protocols exist not just to manage suffering, but to restore possibility.
