Underwater Treadmill Therapy
01

Precision-controlled aquatic locomotion

Underwater Treadmill Therapy

The underwater treadmill is the cornerstone of canine rehabilitation science. Warm water reduces effective body weight by up to 60%, allowing dogs to walk, trot, and rebuild neuromuscular patterns without compressive joint loading.

Water temperature maintained at 92-96°F for therapeutic vasodilation
Variable belt speed from 0.5 to 4.5 mph for progressive loading
Full-session video gait analysis available on request
Two dedicated treadmill stations with private observation areas

Hydrotherapy Pool
02

Resistance swimming and buoyancy-assisted movement

Hydrotherapy Pool

Our therapeutic swimming pool provides full three-dimensional movement that no land-based exercise can replicate. Swimming engages the entire musculoskeletal system while eliminating axial joint compression entirely, making it the most protective form of cardiovascular conditioning available.

Heated therapeutic pool maintained at 89-93°F year-round
Adjustable resistance jets for progressive aquatic conditioning
Graduated entry ramp accommodates dogs 8 lbs to 180 lbs
Private pool sessions, no shared water with other dogs

Therapeutic Massage and Manual Therapy
03

Myofascial release, joint mobilization, and soft tissue restoration

Therapeutic Massage and Manual Therapy

Manual therapy is not an add-on, it is a clinical discipline. Every pool and treadmill session at AquaPaws includes integrated soft tissue work. Standalone massage sessions address compensatory muscle tension, fascial restriction, and periarticular stiffness that accumulates around injured or surgically repaired joints.

Certified in canine myofascial release and trigger point therapy
Fear Free Certified approach for anxious and pain-sensitive patients
Private recovery suites with heated tables and calming acoustics
Written home care protocol provided after every session

Recovery Spotlight

"Twelve weeks after Bear's TPLO surgery, he was back to full trail runs. The team at AquaPaws gave us a structured protocol from day one, kept our surgeon informed after every session, and made Bear feel completely safe in the water. I was skeptical about hydrotherapy but the results were undeniable."

Clinical Experience

Your dog deserves a recovery plan built for them, not borrowed from a textbook.

The initial assessment is a full 60-minute clinical evaluation. We review your dog's records, conduct a functional movement screen, and design a protocol before the first water session begins.
